Leather Finish
Well, currently I'm kind of trying to figure out what type of finish works best on Fiebing's Antique Finish (scroll down a bit on their page to read about it). I'll admit, I haven't yet tried Resolene, Leather Sheen, or Leather Balm With Atom Wax as they recomend, but everything I have tried so far does not work.
Here's how it usually goes: after allowing the antique paste to dry, I apply the finish (maybe more than one coat), but when that's dry, if the leather is bent, the antique will crack and come off.
If only I knew a way to finish the antique the way I want it (i.e. giving the carved leather a water-resistant, tough, flexible top finish). . .
